Freedom Kitchens Once Again The Best On The Block
September 2010 — Freedom Kitchens will once again serve as a major sponsor of Channel Nine’s THE BLOCK 2010. The third series of the successful program will hit television screens tonight, Wednesday 22 September at 7.30pm.
Freedom Kitchens is renowned for bringing cutting-edge contemporary design into Australian homes and when coupled with the creativity of THE BLOCK’s newest home renovating couples, viewers are sure to be inspired by the striking kitchen transformations.
Contestants will be guided by two Freedom Kitchen designers, Adam Thorn – winner of the first series of The Block in 2003 and Sandy Dunn.
“It’s an awesome opportunity to work on the Show again, this time in a consultative role. The challenge for me is balancing the huge pressure the contestants are under, which I know well, while assisting them with practical yet stunning design solutions that could ultimately help them win the game,” says Adam.
This year, four couples will have just eight weeks to out-design and out-decorate each other in a struggle to complete the best apartment. At the end of the final week the winning apartment will be decided by the toughest judges of all — the buying public.
All four apartments will go to public auction and each couple will keep the profit made from the sale, so the better the renovation, the more money they make. The couple who top the auction also win the grand prize of $100,000.
THE BLOCK 2010 will be hosted by Scott Cam. The program’s website is www.ninemsn.com.au/theblock.
